Greetings amateurs,
Sports are fun! I’ve been watching the Preds v Blackhawks
battle it out while keeping an eye on baseball and basketball. I’m
semi-bandwagon with the Preds because I do not follow hockey through the
regular season and can only get pumped for it when it comes time for the
playoffs. I’ve been fairly faithful tonight, watching most of the second
period, the third, and all of overtime (we’re on to a second overtime period as
I type this) and I have enjoyed it so far. Unfortunately, the Preds blew a 3-1
lead from the time I started, but that’s neither here nor there.
This game has been a tough one to get a read on because each
team is taking turns with their runs and getting their fair share of shots off
and bringing the pressure. In between overtime periods, I flipped over to the
Grizzlies and Pacers. I can say without doubt that the Pacers are a train wreck
offensively. I watched them last night and it was pathetic. I only care about the
NBA because of fantasy basketball, LeBron, and the former UK players. Speaking
of, my boy Anthony “the Brow” Davis is going to the playoffs!! The kid is the
truth and I can’t wait to watch him develop his game.
Baseball news for the day is that the Cubs won the series vs
the Reds. Other than that, nothing else matters. Cubs over everything. The Cubbies
currently lead the Central and are one game out of the lead for best record in
the NL. Before you say “oh, Corbett… it’s only 8 games into the season, they’ll
meltdown soon enough” just go ahead and know that I value that opinion as much
as your Facebook friends actually care about your life. (Hint: they don’t care
and you aren't half as hilarious as you think).
Team USA beat Mexico at soccer, so we can all salute the
flag and be the proud Americans we were made to be. I didn’t get to watch any
of it, but I saw we won dos a cero. Some things never change. Okay, enough of
my incoherent babbling, I’m off to watch the Preds take down the Blackhawks.
All my love,
@corbeeeech
