We hit all four last night thanks to some good games by David Price, Paul Goldschmidt, and Welington Castillo. Despite all of Matt Garza's best efforts (-11.45 points), we we able to pull out wins in all matchups to extend our winning streak to 12 games. Let's hope to continue our winning ways today and make some money with this lineup:
P Tim Lincecum at Miami $9,000
Lincecum has won his last four starts while throwing a no-hitter, giving up one run, and striking out 24. He's hot right now, so I'm gonna stick with him.
P Zack Wheeler at San Diego $7,700
Wheeler has compiled three straight quality starts since getting shelled by Oakland. He faced the Padres earlier in the season and lost. The Padres are getting beat up by everyone. Wheeler isn't the best pick, but I'm hoping for a solid start from him. If he does better than Garza did last night, you won't hear me complaining.
C Carlos Santana at Detroit $4,500
I'm looking for this switch hitter to do some work today against Drew Smyly. Also pick him whenever I can. That's not always a good thing.
1B Adrian Gonzalez at St Louis $3,400
Good matchup tonight in prime time against righty Carlos Martinez.
2B Tommy La Stella vs Philly $3,400
Economic pickup.
3B Nolan Arenado at Pittsburgh $3,700
Economic pickup. Also, I don't trust Jeff Locke.
SS Billy Hamilton at New York $5,000
My high dollar position player. He's a lead off hitter with speed (Duh!). He's also turning into a clutch hitter. If the bottom part of the lineup can get on in front of him, he has shown the ability to knock them in.
OF Hunter Pence at Miami $4,700
Lead off hitter with a good matchup. Any time you can draft lead offs, you're doing good. These players will get more at bats, and no chance at negative points.
OF Colby Rasmus vs Texas $3,700
No one is trusting Nick Tepesch. This is also a good matchup.
OF Denard Span vs Milwaukee $4,000
Lead off hitter, see a trend here? Also, lefty vs righty.
Not as confident in this lineup, but if you don't believe in a lineup, don't enter it! This is for money, not fun. Play smart, and don't get in over your head. Cheers!
