Final Push For the Playoffs

5 days. 5 days remain in the NBA regular season. Baseball has started, but basketball is still around and kicking. Here are the standings as they are right now:

In the Eastern Conference, the top 5 teams have clinched playoff spots. Atlanta and Cleveland are the top 2 seeds, but the fight continues for 3rd-5th seeds. Everybody in the East has 3 games left. 144 minutes of basketball to decide which teams keep playing and which teams watch Shaq talk on TNT. The superstar-less Boston Celtics and the Dinosaurs in Brooklyn are fighting for the 7th seed, but have to beat out the Pacers to stay in the top 8 in the East. At the end of the day, this fight will come down to which team is closer to .500 because the Eastern Conference has 3 trash playoff teams. Look for the inevitable Finals clash between the Hawks and Cavaliers.
The Western Conference is a different story all together. The top 7 seeds have clinched a playoff spot. And, can you believe every team is above .500? Almost every team can shuffle in the seedings, but you may have a better chance of winning the Powerball than picking who will end up in the Western Conference Finals. Seems to me that San Antonio and Golden State are destined to play for a chance at a NBA title. However, there are 6 other capable teams that could end up as the final two in the west.

5 more exciting days until the end of the regular season. 7 teams are still fighting for a spot in the playoffs.
