Pokemon Sapphire with Taco: Episode 1

 

  Taco here. I have officially restarted the game. I was instantly surprised at just how much of this game I had forgotten! When PROF.  BIRCH pops up on the screen and introduces me to the wonderful world of Pokemon, I am hooked yet again. So he asks me the basic intro. questions like if I'm a boy or girl and my name. I wish that I had some cute little joke here about my sex or some childishly clever name to offer the game like FARTY or something but I am an adult. Sex: Boy  Name: TACO.

  My journey begins in the back of a moving truck.. Yeah I'm a stepchild I think. Only thing I can figure. My suspicions are confirmed when my mother starts freaking out about seeing my dad on tv and babbling on about how "our family will be fixed soon enough". (I doubt that's a direct quote)  So I head over the neighbors house in hopes that no one is home and they have some Hot Pockets in the freezer and there sits a lady. She says, "Hey, I'm married to PROF. BIRCH and we have a daughter named MAY and she's upstairs. Go hang out with her." Lady I literally just pulled up! You are going to let me go upstairs?! Oh wait this is a Japanese kid's game. Anyways, I go find the professor and I rescue him with Torchic, the fire chick Pokemon. I chose him because finding a fire Pokemon early on is usually difficult. So here I am training and running around and I manage to catch a Zigzagoon, Poochyena, Wurmple, and Lotad. Pretty good score for day 1.  This rest of the day is spent training.
