Daily DraftKings 7-19-14

Dug here, and while I'm stuck playing manager today, I have made a way to get a lineup ready for Fantasy tonight. There are 11 games starting at 7:00 tonight excluding the second part of a Cleveland-Detroit doubleheader. With that game off the list, that also means that Max Scherzer is not available to pitch in tonight's leagues.
Yesterday was a great day for my lineups. All three contests hit and netted a total of $17.10. Pocket change you might say, but what if we had bet bigger?
We're hoping for the same today, however, the matchups are a little more difficult. Coming out of the Allstar Break, you will see more top of the rotation pitchers. With that being said, pitchers weren't cheap yesterday, nor are they today. This will make finding a good balance slightly more difficult than normal. My lineup for today is as follows:

P David Price at Minnesota $8,000
Amidst the trade rumors, Price has been pitching phenomenal. Pitching into the late innings, strikeout count is up, and notching wins. Price has won 4 straight starts while giving up only four earned runs and striking out 35 batters. He has one start this season against the Twins back on April 22. How did he do? 9 innings, 6 hits, 3 earned, a walk, and 12 strikeouts. Who wouldn't take that regularly? He's my prize choice for today, and rightfully so.

P Matt Garza at Washington $8,000
I started Garza in his final start before the break, and boy what a start it was! He was perfect through the first seven innings before the entire team collapsed in said inning. He ended up allowing two, but Philly rocked the relievers. Garza wasn't my first choice as backup for Price, but he was the most economical.

C Welington Castillo at Arizona $3,200
He has a favorable matchup against Wade Miley. He was my second choice after Kurt Suzuki.

1B Paul Goldschmidt vs Chicago $5,700
Travis Wood is having a down year and is pitching poorly against righties. Goldschmidt was the best choice from the Arizona lineup.

2B Neil Walker vs Colorado $4,200

3B Matt Dominguez at CWS $3,500
Hector Noesi is having a rough time against righties also. Dominguez fits the bill and the budget.

SS Jordy Mercer vs Colorado $3,000
Another budget player to make room for Price. If he does well, great. If not, let's hope the big money was worth it.

OF Dustin Ackley at LAA $3,000
See Jordy Mercer.

OF Matt Joyce at Minnesota $4,000
Joyce is our high dollar outfielder. Let's hope it was money well spent against Hughes.

OF Will Venable vs NYM $3,200
The late night play is Dillion Gee against Tyson Ross. Either pitcher would be a good pick as a second pitcher. I took Venable because he was of good value and he has a good matchup against Gee.

These lineups are never final. A tool that I like from DraftKings that FanDuel does not offer. You can swap a player up until game time in case the player is scratched or not in the lineup. There could be updates if that is the case. Full report later tonight, or early tomorrow. Happy Gambling!

Update (4:28 pm)

Matt Joyce is not in the starting lineup. I picked up Jarrod Dyson for $3,400 and saved $600 to play with later. Dyson is batting lead off and gives us good speed options. Also, he bats left-handed against righty Rubby De La Rosa. The only two players left to confirm are Ackley and Venable.
